After our successful hillside stabilization project for the Lechner House, we were once again honored to be chosen to lead the structural support work at another iconic Rudolph Schindler home, the Lovell Beach House in Newport Beach. A path-breaking work of early modern architecture, the Lovell Beach House contains many of Schindler's signature architectural motifs. Built in 1926, the home has weathered the test of time but requires regular maintenance and structural support. We led the effort to install steel supports for a few of the concrete beams that hold up the weight of the structure. Working in an artistic and architectural masterpiece such as the Lovell Beach House required a meticulous level of care for the historic elements of the home. We are proud to be able to help preserve one of the most important works of architectural history in Southern California.
